This is the historical archive of Souriyat Across Borders’ early work from 2012-2019. The organization continues its vital humanitarian mission at their current website: souriyat.org

This archive preserves the record of SAB’s pioneering programs supporting Syrian refugees in Jordan and Syria. Founded in 2012 by five Syrian women as an emergency response to the humanitarian crisis, Souriyat Across Borders established programs that provided dignity, hope, and practical support to thousands of displaced families.
The organization’s early work focused on three core areas:
Our women’s empowerment programs helped Syrian women maintain dignity and economic independence through vocational training, handicraft workshops, and skills development. These initiatives recognized that many women had lost their primary providers and needed pathways to self-sufficiency.

The education initiatives supported Syrian refugee students, particularly those preparing for the Jordanian high school diploma (Taujihi). Education was seen as the foundation for building a future generation, even amid displacement and trauma.

Our patient recovery center provided medical and psychological rehabilitation for war-wounded refugees. The center offered physiotherapy, care for amputees, and support for patients with all types of injuries, with priority given to those with fresh injuries requiring immediate intervention.
